Release knowledge matters
Know the set or release family.
Separate first wave from later restock when the market cares.
Check whether packs came from sealed boxes, tins, blisters or loose lots.
Avoid listings that use famous franchise language but show generic or mismatched packaging.
Condition still matters
Modern foil can scratch, crease and curl. A pack may be factory sealed but still unattractive to collectors if it has crushed crimps, surface scuffs or warped storage.
Loose-pack caution
Loose packs can be cheaper but harder to verify.
Search for box-origin claims and photos.
Be careful with listings that emphasize “unsearched.”
Compare with sealed blister or box pricing before buying loose lots.
