Cello and wax packs can contain cards from the same general collecting world, but they behave very differently in the market. The format changes what buyers can see, what sellers can hide and what graders can evaluate.

Which is safer?
Neither format is automatically safer. Cello gives visibility but can invite hype. Wax hides contents but can look cleaner than it is. In both cases, the right question is whether the photos prove the pack more than the description does.
Buying rule
Pay for evidence, not possibility. A visible card, a slab label or a seller story may increase interest, but the pack still needs clean seals, good photos and comparable sales support.
