Many marketplace mistakes start with the wrong format word. Wax, cello, rack and blister packs do not age, display or sell the same way.
Wax packs
Paper-based wrappers with folded or crimped ends. Collectors focus on wrapper condition, seal integrity and era-specific wear.
Cello packs
Clear or semi-clear plastic packs that may show top or bottom cards. Visibility can create premiums but also hype and misleading listings.
Rack packs
Larger hanging formats with multiple sections or panels. They need inspection across the full plastic holder, header area and panel seams.
Blister packs
Retail hanging-card packages with a plastic bubble or sealed pack attached to backing. The backing card, hang tab and plastic bubble condition can all matter.
