Authentication

Sealed Pack Authentication Workflow

A wrapper-first workflow for checking crimps, seams, cello clarity, slab details and seller evidence.

Authentication starts with the pack, not the story. Photos should show the full front, back, both ends, side seams, corners and any slab label.

The inspection order

Identify the exact format: wax, cello, rack, blister, foil or box.
Compare crimp pattern, wrapper tension and expected age wear.
Check whether the seller shows the edges that matter.
Run sold comps for the same format and similar condition.
Ask for missing photos before paying a premium.

For valuable packs, treat authentication as a documentation process. Save photos and listing notes before the sale disappears.

Marketplace research

Search routes

Use current listings for supply, then sold results for demand. Every marketplace listing is unverified until the photos, seller history and details support it.
