A slab can make a sealed pack easier to sell, but it does not remove the need to understand the wrapper. The grade is one piece of evidence, not the whole story.
What grading helps with
It creates a standardized holder and label.
It can document the pack type, condition and authentication opinion.
It makes comparison easier when sold comps are from the same grading company and similar condition.
What grading does not solve
A slab does not make a weak comp strong, and it does not automatically justify the highest asking price. Compare the wrapper, holder generation, label details, seller photos and actual sales.
Avoid treating a slab as a license to skip research. Mistyped labels, old-holder premiums and seller overpricing can still distort the decision.
