Sealed packs are vulnerable to corner pressure, slab cracking, box dents, heat, moisture and bad packing. The shipping plan is part of the buying decision.
Ask before purchase
Will the pack be sleeved or protected before being boxed?
Will slabs be wrapped separately from loose boxes?
Will the package use a rigid outer box, not only a bubble mailer?
Is insurance appropriate for the sale price?
Can the seller avoid heat, moisture and crush-prone handling where possible?
For expensive sealed items, paying a little more for proper packing is usually cheaper than arguing over damage later.
