Format comes first
Wax packs hide contents and reward seal inspection.
Cello packs may show cards and invite premiums.
Rack packs need hanger, plastic and panel checks.
Graded packs should still be compared by pack type and grade.
Player-chase hype
Sellers often imply that a key rookie or star could be inside. That possibility is part of the fun, but it should not replace format-specific inspection or comps for similar sealed examples.

Full front and back.
Both ends or panels.
Close-up of any visible card.
Any gum stain, wax transfer or corner damage.
A clear shot of slab label if graded.
